Sandy Wand
Over thirty three years ago I began doing home births in the mountains of Oregon. These births included my own three precious babies and many dear friends. My training as a lay midwife was filled with love, luck and lots of grace. After moving to the Ozarks I started teaching prenatal classes. I met a granny- midwife name Beulah, who graciously took me on as apartner in her rural practice. I drove many a country mile listening to Beulah tell amazing stories of her delivering babies in the 'Indian Territory' of Oklahoma. Having been born at home myself in the coal fields of Kentucky only made my experiences with Beulah that much sweeter. Coming back to Oregon a few years later our family settled in Ashland, where I continued to do home births. It was in Ashland that I began to do energy medicine with Donna Eden. For the last 18 years I have traveled and taught with Donna and maintained a full practice in Ashland. I still attend an occasional birth and am now an official granny midwife, having been the midwife at the birth of my grandbabies.

I really enjoy bringing the incredible experiential energies of pregnancy and birth into my energy medicine work. I like teaching in that space where they merge. Besides demonstrating techniques that support all the stages of pregnancy, I take great delight in the healing journey we have all taken birth for and keeping the energies balanced.
