The Body is the Temple: Honoring Spirit through Self Care Practices
Cultivating awareness to hear the language of the body and heart is a profound practice in presence and honesty. As we learn to listen deeply we are able to tap into the guiding force of universal knowledge written in every cell of our being. Taking time to nurture ourselves is the most radical act of loving kindness we can take; all else we do is magnified by the love we first show to ourself. Self care supports personal choices that are aligned with our highest vision for ourselves, and provides the foundation for expanding our consciousness, our compassion, and our capacity for healing.
We will explore indigenous and intuitive self massage techniques and basic Chinese Medicine principles of health though Qi Gong and acupressure. Using local medicinal herbs, we will craft an infused massage oil and speak about courting our plant allies.
