New Album Released!
Back to the Mother is s a full length CD of music, created specifically with the intention of supporting women and babies throughout pregnancy, birth, and post partum! This inspired musical project will also be enjoyed by anyone whose intention is to connect with the earth, their root source of energy and infinite spirit through music.
This album is a journey of women’s vocals chants and spoken word woven together with deep rhythms, ancient drums and modern percussion to create a powerful and sensual journey; the feeling is both contemporary and tribal. I have been a midwife and doula for over 10 years and throughout my experiences have learned that music and movement are powerful ways to support women getting in touch with their bodies and their babies to help them prepare for birth. Many cross-cultural themes come through in the music; inspired by the years I spent traveling internationally learning and sharing about natural birth; all while playing drums!
These songs will inspire and activate you to move, dance, relax, reflect, release, and play! This album will be a good tool for doulas, a healing for women who are recovering birth trauma, fun gift for a baby shower, and a great addition to any blessingway ceremony.
